Getting Back into the Groove

First of all, apologies for the total lack of posts for the last 10 days.  It wasn't my intention not to blog whilst away, but circumstances dictated, as I wasn't able to get internet access very easily, so it was easier just to take a complete break.

Although I love blogging and blog reading, I'm actually quite glad that I did take a break, as it feels good to come back to it completely refreshed.  It also reassures me that I am able to live without an internet connection for a while, should I need to.

I also didn't take any photos whilst we were away.  We just enjoyed our time with family and friends, took walks with the dog, read, watched a little TV, ate in, ate out (a couple of times), ate too many Easter eggs(!), did some sightseeing, a tiny bit of shopping and generally just really enjoyed ourselves in the beautiful county of Yorkshire.  The pace of life there was so relaxing and gave me just the chance I needed to reflect on the last few months and think about the things I want to achieve in the coming few months.

Now back in London, with the washing machine on, the back door open allowing the breeze in and having unpacked most of our things, I've managed to finally find some time to start catching up with reality and what everyone's been up to and get back into the blogging groove.

I will be posting some of the pre-written posts I had hoped to post whilst I was away, albeit a little late, in the next week or so, which should give me a chance to catch up on reading 10 days worth of blog posts, which I'm looking forward to.

I hope you've all had a great Easter and I look forward to reading about your adventures.

Back soon.

    1. I definitely agree. I've had lots of time to read and think about small but significant changes I want to try to make in my life. I just need to put them into action now.

  3. You're right. I think you really do need to go away to get a real rest. Not necessarily far but just outside your usual routine, otherwise if you stay at home there is always "just one more dish to wipe, just one more load to wash, etc." Glad you enjoyed your break. Anna

    1. Hi Anna, thanks for dropping by. You summed up how I feel about things very well. I know it's not everyone's choice but I do love going away, it really makes me appreciate my home and routines when I return to them.

    1. I'm not surprised, you sound like you've been very busy raising money for your village. I'm pleased for you that it's gone so well.
